This policy explains what ChainSift Bot records when you use it, why, and how to have it removed. It applies to the Discord bot and to paid reports ordered through chainsift.org.
ChainSift Bot has no wallet-connect, no signing, and no key entry of any kind. It only ever needs a public contract address — the same string anyone can read in a block explorer.
If any bot, site, or person claiming to be us asks for a seed phrase, a private key, or a wallet signature, it is a scam. Do not comply.
When you run /audit, or click the button to request a paid report, we
append one line to a log file:
| Field | Example | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Timestamp | 2026-08-15T09:12:44Z | Ordering, rate limits, usage counts |
| Event type | audit / report_click |
To tell a free check from a paid-report request |
| Discord user ID — hashed | a3f9c1d4e07b2856 |
Counting unique users and enforcing per-user limits. Stored only as a truncated
SHA-256 hash — for /audit we do not store your Discord user ID
itself, and the hash cannot be turned back into it. Contract Watch is the
exception; see the section below. |
| Discord server ID | 901234567890123456 | Per-server rate limits and knowing where the Bot is used |
| Chain | ethereum, bsc | Routing the query to the right data source |
| Contract address | 0x1f98…f984 | The public address you asked about |
That is the complete list. We do not record your Discord username, avatar, email, message content, the other members of your server, or anything about your wallet.
If you order a paid report, we additionally keep the email address you give us — reports are delivered by email — and the payment confirmation from our payment provider.
Contract Watch is different from the rest of the Service, and it is the one place where we store more, so it is worth stating plainly.
To watch a contract for you, we store the contract address, the chain, and a snapshot of that contract's public mechanics (verification, honeypot status, buy and sell tax, minting, liquidity lock, owner share) so we have something to compare against later. That data is public on-chain information, not information about you.
We also store your Discord user ID in full, not hashed. This is
unavoidable: an alert is delivered as a direct message, and a hash cannot be messaged.
It applies only if you use /watch or buy a Contract Watch subscription —
running a plain /audit still stores nothing but the truncated hash described
above.
Your watchlist is visible to nobody but you. We do not publish, sell, or share which
addresses anyone watches. Removing a contract with /unwatch deletes its entry
and its snapshot; cancelling a subscription or asking us to close your watch account
removes your user ID with it.
We do not sell, rent, or share this data with anyone for advertising or profiling, and we do not build user profiles.
| Service | Role | What it sees |
|---|---|---|
| Discord | The platform the Bot runs on | Your interaction with the Bot, under Discord's own privacy policy |
| GoPlus Labs api.gopluslabs.io |
On-chain contract data for the free check | The chain and contract address you queried — nothing about you |
| Crypto Bot pay.crypt.bot |
Payment processing for the $50 report | Payment details, handled by the provider. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded; we never see or store card or wallet credentials. |
Usage log lines are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted. Records relating to a paid report are kept for up to 24 months so we can answer questions about work already delivered.
You can ask us to delete your records earlier. Write to [email protected] from the address you used to order a report, or tell us your Discord user ID, and we will remove the matching entries and confirm when it is done. Because user IDs are stored hashed, we need the ID from you in order to locate them.
Removing the Bot from your server stops any further recording immediately.
The Service follows Discord's minimum age requirements and is not directed at anyone below them.
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above changes with it.
